This eye-catching dessert is made with an Angel Food Cake Mix baked in muffin tins, then layered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Rose petals are tucked in at the base, adding their scent. The stacked shortcakes are pretty, and appear to be time consuming, but assemble quickly.

Strawberry Shortcake Muffins

PREP TIME: 15 minutes      COOKING TIME: 20-25 min.       YIELD: 24 Shortcakes *


  • 1 Angel Food Cake Mix
  • 1 quart Strawberries
  • 1 pint Whipping Cream
  • 24 Muffin Paper Liners


  • Place paper liners in muffin tins
  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Prepare cake mix as directed on the box
  • Assemble muffins with a middle and top layer of whipped cream then place sliced strawberries on the edges and on the plate
  • *Use two muffins per person
